THE ENERGY AND THERMAL SYSTEMS LABORATORY

The Energy and Thermal Systems Laboratory is founded since 1999; its main goals are:

  • The development of research techniques and means in the field of energy and fluid mechanics;
  • The improvement of the knowledge in the field of energy and fluid mechanics;
  • The formation of competences.

The main scientific topics developped are:

  • Thermophysical properties determination - Inverses Methods;
  • Porous and heterogeneous medias;
  • Fluid dynamics - Heat and mass transfers by convection;
  • Combustion and  plasma.

The Energy and Thermal Systems Laboratory employs approximately 90 researchers (PHD, permanent staff, post doctoral researchers).
